Matt Gonzales

I’ve been in the people business my entire life—starting at 18, from box-throwing jobs to walking door-to-door in sales during my college years. I like to say I hold a PhD in Life, because the best lessons I’ve learned have come through real-world experience and connecting with people at every level. Whether it’s a C-suite executive or a neighbor down the street, I’ve always been comfortable engaging, listening, and building relationships.

I’ve lived in Plano for over 27 years, and I’ve been married for 26 years. My wife and I are proud parents of two wonderful young adults. Family has always been my anchor, and it’s what inspired me to enter the Medicare space. In 2015, after earning my insurance license in Texas, I signed up my own mom and dad for their first Medicare Advantage Plan. That moment turned into a mission—helping seniors navigate what can often feel like a maze—and it’s how GetMcare LLC was born.

Today, my team and I are dedicated to educating and guiding people through Medicare and retirement, putting your priorities first. We focus on what matters to you—not corporate agendas—so you can make informed choices for your Medicare journey.

Outside of work, I’m a family man, fitness enthusiast, and avid soccer player when I get the chance. I have a deep passion for FC Barcelona, and I’m proud to help grow one of the largest Penyes (supporter clubs) in the world right here in Dallas. One of my long-term dreams is to serve as President of a Barcelona Penya, raising awareness and building community through the beautiful game.

At the end of the day, my motto is simple: “Life is short, and we have to make things happen.”
